When my Crohn’s disease was at it’s worst, I was terrified to accept social engagements because I never knew how I would feel. I had to run from meetings at my corporate job, praying that I’d find an empty bathroom. I stopped wearing pants with tight waistlines because my stomach got so distended I didn’t want anything to touch it. I ran my self-ragged trying drug after drug, modality after modality. Each new healer I encountered was sure that they had the panacea – the golden ticket that would cure me in weeks. At the end of the day, no-one had the answer for me. The same may be true for you.
Partially, this is because you are a unique individual, and no-one else will ever be able to tell you exactly what’s right for your body and your disease.
